Can I submit a manuscript to Weidenfeld & Nicolson?
The Future Bookshelf is our open submissions platform for writers from underrepresented communities. We open submissions to everyone, but it’s also a community for writers to get advice and guidance from editors, agents and other authors.
Outside of this platform we only accept submissions via a literary agent. We work with lots of brilliant agents who do invaluable work, and we love to hear about new writers from them.
If you’re trying to get published and looking for a place to start, dip into The Writers’ and Artists’ Yearbook (published by A & C Black) and The Writer’s Handbook (published by Macmillan). These directories are updated annually and offer good advice for where to begin when finding an agent.
